Who's Faber

Welcome! My name is Faber, and I am an independent computer consultant working with Open Source technologies. I’m a problem solver who fixes complex issues and builds systems which work with little to no human intervention.*

I've been an adjunct professor, a lecturer at NASA and PCEXPO, a trainer at Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory, IBM and PeopleSoft.

Even though I specialize in Open Source technologies, I'm a generalist, because Open Source technologies is a big field. As a jack-of-all-trades, I do front end coding, back end coding, database design, system administration – in short, everything except for graphic design. Systems I've built include a trading platform for an equities trading company, a patent-pending system which monitors third-party browser cookies, an email archive, and many other intuitive platforms.

I fix business problems by using computer automation. And while I’m a problem solver who wouldn't be the best choice to make an attractive banner appear on your site, I’m the one to solve your complex problems whether it requires building a complete system or suggesting a piece of software you were unaware of.

I've been told I have an amazing ability to integrate things that were never meant to be integrated.

For further information, please don't hesitate to email me! I'd love to meet you and figure out how I can solve your computer challenges.

*I do not specialize in Microsoft or Oracle platforms.
